Berry Smoothie with Flax Seeds

The humidity is back! The best way for me to cool down on a humid day is a nice cold drink or smoothie. I decided to make a berry smoothie with flax seeds. This is the perfect snack before I go running later!

Berry Smoothie with Flax Seeds
Ingredients:
Handful of blueberries
Handful of blackberries
Handful of raspberries
Handful of strawberries
Flax seed (put in as much or as little to your liking)
1/2 cup Whole Food's Organic Vanilla Low fat Yogurt
Splash of organic fat free milk
1 TBS. of Agave

Directions: Blend all ingredients in a blender or food processor. Make sure to use a spoon a few times to make sure all of the berries are ground. Finally, top it off with some leftover raspberries and blackberries.

This smoothie was incredible. All of the fruit was super fresh and sweet. With the sweetness of the vanilla yogurt and a little touch of agave, it was the perfect amount of sweet. I love adding the flax seed because it is an added health benefit, but the crunch of the seeds makes the final result that much more interesting.
